Wednesday, May 14, 2025 "What To Do About Worry" Message summary: Worry is the result of failing to practice active faith in God’s constant, never-ending care over us. Our faith must be active and constant, for when there’s a lapse worry can get a hold. And we know that leads to a negative outlook on life. Listen

in the hollow
of His blessed
hand,
What are you worried about today? What is robbing you of “the peace that surpasses all understanding"? Oswald Chambers wrote: “Worry is an indication that we think God cannot look after us". Sometimes in life there's a storm on the horizon and you can see it's coming your way. But you don't know when it will come. That can sure prompt an anxious heart. But at other times a storm's coming and you can't see it yet!
Here's an interesting, thought provoking saying, “Worry is the darkroom where negatives are developed". Worry is
the result of
failing to
practice
active faith
in God’s
constant,
never-ending
care over us.
Our faith must
be active and
constant, for
when there’s a
lapse worry
can get a
hold. And we
know that can
easily lead to
a negative
outlook on
life. Today, let us rest in the assurance that it’s His nature to love and care for His own. “The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made” (Psalm 145:13). “So
why should I
worry?
Why should I
fret?
‘Cause I’ve got a Mansion Builder Who ain’t through with me yet.” *

Grace Music ![]() Yesterday
we went to a
retirement
luncheon for
Dave who is a
craftsman at
White Oak
Display. He
has an
interesting
distinction
regarding his
working years.
Dave started
working right
out of school
at a Kinney
Shoe factory
which was
later sold to
White Oak. How
many people
finish their
work years at
the very same
factory or
location where
they started
over 50 years
earlier?
![]() Dave's retirement prompted a memory. Twelve years ago we attended a retirement party for Everett DeWald, who retired after working for the same company as a machine operator for over 60 years (63 as we recall). Every week when Everett saw me coming he would raise his finger in the air and holler out, "Hey, hey, hey!" followed by a very friendly greeting. Actually he did this for all the employees. He just might have had the most consistently pleasant disposition of anyone I have ever met.
