"Open And Responsive Hearts" Message summary: May God keep our hearts open and responsive to His Spirit all through life as believers. Listen
to our message
on your audio
player. Our first
daily text is
referring to
King Josiah
who had a
responsive
heart. Note
the words, "Because
your heart was
responsive".
Josiah was the
last king
before the
exile who "did
what was right
in the eyes of
the Lord and
followed the
ways of his
father David,
not turning
aside to the
right or to
the left"
(2 Chronicles
34:2). Soften
my heart,
Lord, soften
my heart.
From all indifference set me apart; To feel Your compassion, to weep with Your tears; Come soften my heart, Oh Lord, soften my heart.
Be encouraged today, Hebrews 3:13 Stephen & Brooksyne Weber
Daily
prayer:
Father, we
lift up our
loved ones in
prayer who
have yet to
bow their
knees and
confess with
their tongue
that Jesus
Christ is
Lord. We never
give up
believing that
someday they
will come to
faith through
Christ Jesus.
At the same
time we pray
for ourselves
that You would
make us
pliable and
yielding to
Your touch
which can
happen only as
we open our
hearts to You.
We want to be
like clay in
the hand of
the potter and
receptive to
Your Spirit’s
working. The
process can be
painful as
impurities are
removed and
reshaping goes
against the
gravity of our
sin nature.
But the end
result makes
us vessels
fitting for
Your honor,
useful for
Your kingdom,
and exemplary
as a believer
to those we
are praying
for. We desire
to glorify You
today as our
hearts are
open to Your
Spirit.
Amen.

note: I've
heard this
song on the
radio several
times and
really enjoy
its message.
Surely, for
most
believers,
John 3:16 is
the "go to"
verse when
explaining the
gift of
salvation. I
believe you
will enjoy
this song.
When the leaves come off in the forest you can see what otherwise is hidden. Yesterday I rode on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail where I heard and saw this bubbling spring running down the bank from the trail. We've had very little rain over the last two months but this spring was flowing fine. To
