"O
Yes, He Cares"
Message
summary:
Yes,
God cares!
Today He cares
about you.
Whatever
you’re going
through or
whatever you
will go
through, God
does care and
can be
absolutely
depended upon!
He will see
you through.
He is
steadfastly
faithful!
“Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, ‘My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God?’ Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:27-29). About 700 women gathered at the "Ladies Gathering" on Saturday at our church. Not only were the messages faith building by our women's ministries director, Liz Rodriguez but the worship was as well. "Waymaker" especially touched my spirit each time we repeated these lines, "Even
when I can't
see it You're
working,
Even when I
can't feel it
You're
working.
You
never stop,
You never stop
working;
You
never stop,
You never stop
working."
Burdens
came to light
during that
segment of the
song and I
freshly
committed them
to Jesus and
even today I'm
singing in my
head, "Even
though I can't
see it You're
working...You
never stop,
You never stop
working". I
hope you'll
take the time
to listen
(link below)
and sing along
with this
powerful song!
Today
we consider
those who
question that
God is still
working. I
counseled with
a woman named
Suzanne.*
She's had a
series of
tough turns in
life. Her
husband died
after a
lengthy
illness, two
of her
children are
living in
rebellion and
have no
interest in
the things of
God. She takes
care of two of
her
grandchildren
which is a
heavy load for
her to bear
alone. Amidst
all the
challenges
already
mentioned she
also struggles
to manage
financially,
is physically
and
spiritually
weak and
weary. (Her
story could be
repeated many
times over
throughout
America and
beyond.)
She candidly expressed, "I just don’t think God cares about me anymore". We’ve probably all met people with this degree of spiritual discouragement and some of us have been there ourselves. Some of our readers may be feeling that way today. Ministry
encounters
like this are
not unusual
and one of the
major goals of
our ministry
is to give
people a
biblical
assurance of
God's
faithfulness
so they can
have "strength
for today and
bright hope
for tomorrow".
The
daily text
expresses an
ancient
complaint and
yet one that
is surely
heard by God
millions of
times every
day:
"My
way is hidden
from the LORD"
which is
essentially
saying God is
not aware of
my situation.
"My cause is disregarded by my God" which is essentially saying God doesn't really care. Oh
sure, the
wording may be
different, but
the basic
complaint
remains the
same. To the
bitter it may
be, “God
doesn’t care,
He’s forgotten
all about me.”
To the
believer
undergoing
trial it might
be the
heartfelt
inquiry, “Does
God still
care?” Has He
forgotten?”
Has my cause
been
disregarded?
The Scripture abundantly provides an answer to this complaint in the verses that follow. Hear the word of the Lord and be encouraged: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:28,29). Yes, God cares! Today He cares about you. Whatever you’re going through or whatever you will go through, God does care and can be absolutely depended upon! He will see you through. He is steadfastly faithful! Stephen

This song is
one that I
turn up the
volume every
time it comes
on the radio.
When we sang
this on
Saturday at
the Ladies
Gathering I
began to speak
and sing the
name of Jesus
on behalf of
my family,
both sides,
immediate and
distant. I
speak Jesus
over my
family, I
trust you do
as well. Stephen's
note:
Especially on
our hearts due
to increasing
addictions so
many deal with
is the line,
"till every
dark addiction
starts to
break".

"Does Jesus Care" Click to listen on YouTube Homecoming Singers A good number of these folks are now on the other side, but during this recording quite a few were living as widows and widowers who had said good-bye to the dearest on earth to them. Get out your tissues! O
yes He cares;
I know He
cares,
His heart is touched with my grief; When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares. To
