"The
Unending
Mercies Of
God"
Message
summary: There
is nothing we
have done nor
can we do that
disqualifies
us from
receiving
God's
unlimited and
unending
mercy! Truly,
our sins they
are many, but
His mercy is
more!
Note:
Due to
weariness a
podcast was
not prepared
for this
message.
"His
mercies never
come to an
end; they are
new every
morning"
(Lamentations
3:22). “O give
thanks to the
Lord of lords:
for His mercy
endures
forever”
(Psalm 136:3).
“Praise be to
the God and
Father of our
Lord Jesus
Christ! In His
great mercy He
has given us
new birth into
a living hope
through the
resurrection
of Jesus
Christ from
the dead” (1
Peter 1:3).
“Let us then
approach the
throne of
grace with
confidence, so
that we may
receive mercy
and find grace
to help us in
our time of
need” (Hebrews
4:16).
This
week we are in
a series of
"Five
Assurances For
the New Year"
based on
Lamentations
3.
Today let us
consider
Assurance #2:
God’s
unending mercy.
Our first
daily text
proclaims two
aspects of
God's mercy:
1)
"His
mercies never
come to an
end;
2)
"They
are new every
morning".
This
is remarkable
considering
the despairing
times in which
Jeremiah
lived!
What
love could
remember, no
wrongs we have
done
Omniscient all-knowing, He counts not their sum Thrown into a sea, without bottom or shore Our sins they are many, His mercy is more One repeated line in the song "His Mercy Is More" speaks of the tremendous depth, power, and reach of God's mercy. Just consider the line, "Our sins they are many, His mercy is more!" What a joy today to serve the one and only true Lord, the One whom the Bible refers to as the "the Lord of lords". The Psalmist calls us to give thanks to the Lord over and over in Psalm 136 and here's the reason why: "His mercy endures forever". Three thousand years have passed since the Psalmist declared this truth and yet His mercy still endures. Today we see the awfulness of sin all around us, for there is no such thing as sin without consequence. We often bear the consequences of our own sin and we also are affected by others' sinful actions. And yet our merciful God gives us the power to live faithfully for Him have many questions that have yet to be answered. Some will be during our lifetime but others will not. Yet we are strengthened by God’s glorious power so that we are “able to pass through any experience and endure it with joy” (Colossians 1:9). "Forgetful
as we are,
things must be
often repeated
to us. By
mercy we
understand the
Lord's
disposition to
save those
whom sin has
rendered
miserable and
vile, and all
the provision
he has made
for the
redemption of
sinners by
Jesus Christ.
The counsels
of this mercy
have been from
everlasting,
and the
effects of it
will endure
for ever, to
all who are
interested in
it. The Lord
continues
equally ready
to show mercy
to all who
seek for it,
and this is
the source of
all our hope
and comfort."
(Matthew
Henry)
The amazing
love and
endless mercy
of God
continues to
be poured out
on the fallen
human race.
All who turn
to Him in
faith are
recipients of
His great
mercy as He
provides
salvation from
sin and
guidance in
our daily
lives. “In
His great
mercy He has
given us new
birth.”
His mercy
endures even
in the
hardest,
darkest places
and during the
most baffling
of times. We
continue to
"receive mercy
and find grace
to help us in
our time of
need".
Are you serving the “Lord of lords”? If so, give some thought today about God's mercy that doesn't expire in 24 hours; mercy that's not just available to those who are born into the right family or have the right connections; mercy that's not just for those of a particular race, live in a specific region or have tons of money. No, His mercy is available to you and me. There is nothing we have done nor can we do that disqualifies us from receiving God's unlimited and unending mercy! Truly, our sins they are many, but His mercy is more! Praise
the Lord, His
mercy is more
Stronger than darkness, new every morn Our sins they are many, His mercy is more Praise the Lord, His mercy is more Stronger than darkness, new every morn Our sins they are many, His mercy is more Our sins they are many, His mercy is more Stephen

Stephen
continues to
recover from
his abdominal
surgery with
the expected
pain,
soreness,
weakness and
weariness that
is part of the
recovery
process. He
was quite
nauseated
