"Fearfully and
Wonderfully Made"
Message summary: Today, let us marvel at the wonder of life; our conception, prenatal development, birth and the blessing of being alive! Listen to this message on your audio player. "For
the life of a creature is in the blood" (Leviticus
17:11). "For you created my inmost being; You knit
me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You
because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your
works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm
139:13,14 NIV).
Yesterday we each made a blood donation. There is a shortage of blood due to the pandemic and the disruption in the normal patterns of collection. Usually we donate on a "bloodmobile" but they are not using these due to social distancing so we gave at a fire hall in rural Lebanon County yesterday. Because we are alive we are able to donate and hopefully help others in need! So today let us consider the blessing of life. When we travel Brooksyne will
often read aloud; usually the Bible or devotional
type materials. But recently she checked out a book
from the Hershey Library that she has also been
reading. It's a very interesting, but troubling book
titled, "The Walls Are Talking: Former Abortion
Clinic Workers Tell Their Stories" by Abby Johnson.
The book narrates the harrowing and life-changing
experiences of former abortion clinic workers,
including those of the author, who once directed
abortion services at a large Planned Parenthood
clinic in Texas. Among other things it documents the
horrors of the abortion business and the heartache
of not only the "clients" but those who work in
these death mills.
For the record since I am alive, it's obvious that I was not aborted, so without a doubt that influences my opinion of the matter. My life began at conception as a separate single cell some 24,381 days ago. During the next nine months, as I grew in my mother's womb, nothing new was added but oxygen and nutrition. My entire genetic makeup was contained in that single cell. Thankfully for me, and my parents who loved me, this process was not interrupted and after nine months of being "knit together in my mother's womb" I was born. I never existed before and there will never be another me, contrary to what false religions might teach about reincarnation. The initial fertilized cell from whence we all developed only weighed around .0000000015 pounds. But by the time we are born this one single cell became two hundred million cells and at birth we weigh some six billion times more than the fertilized egg. If this rate of growth had continued by my first birthday I would have weighed 72,000,000,000 pounds! (which would have been an extremely "heavy" burden for my Mom.) And if I’d continued to grow at this rate, one thing is for sure, I would be very famous! When David wrote Psalm 139 some 3,000 years ago he had little knowledge of modern science but did have the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and common sense in declaring a statement that modern science recognizes. What he writes is accurate theologically, scientifically and medically. "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb". May our response be the same of the Psalmist, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful..." "I know that full well." What a blessing to know our origins! Today, let us marvel at the wonder of life; our conception, prenatal development, birth and the blessing of being alive! Be encouraged today, Stephen & Brooksyne Weber Daily prayer: Father, we are amazed at Your creative process and marvel at the beauty of life. You knit us together in our mother's womb and provided everything we have need of before our birth and all the years following our birth. You will do so until You call us home and there we will lack for nothing as we receive our inheritance which can never perish, spoil or fade. Thank You for giving us life and providing for all our needs; physical, material, relational, and spiritual. In the name of Jesus we give You thanks and honor. Amen.

We want to thank all who
financially support our ministry. We
realize there are many fine ministries and
causes requesting support but if the Lord
would lead you we surely need and appreciate
the financial support from our readers and
listeners. Our ministry
labor is comprised of approximately half our
time to Daily Encouragement and the other half
to our chaplaincy ministry to companies for
which we receive compensation. Each of these
ministries essentially is the same as a
part-time job (20+ hours weekly) for each of
us. Our goal for many years is that each would
provide half of our ministry expenses and
income.
If you would consider making a donation to our ministry see here for more information. To donate directly online here. This will open to a page that designates the offering to: WEBER,STEPHEN CHAP, Specialized Chaplaincy Ministry ID: 700001-237376
