 We are in our early 50's and have lived out in the country west of Mount Joy for the past seven years. We have been very happily married for over 32 years and have a teenage daughter, Ester. Stephen is a native of Missouri, Brooksyne is from Oklahoma, and Ester is a native of Guatemala! We serve several companies through Southcentral Pennsylvania as chaplains. From 1998-2004 we served with a national agency that provided chaplaincy service to companies. Prior to that Stephen and Brooksyne pastored in Massachusetts for seven 1/2 years and in northwest Pennsylvania for nearly sixteen years. They are graduates of Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and Stephen is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. When not speaking in churches or sharing about our ministry we associate with the Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, which was near our rental home when we first moved to Pennsylvania in early 2001 and where we have made lifelong friends. We also consider ourselves online chaplains and normally spend several hours each weekday morning preparing a message of encouragement that is posted to a website, and emailed to several thousand subscribers. Brooksyne edits my writings and often adds her own thoughts, a prayer and sometimes a note. We share together on the podcast. Since our emphasis certainly is encouragement we now use this term to describe all phases of our work.
