![]() "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19). Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me" (John 21:22). "To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps" (1 Peter 2:21). Oh God, You are my God and I will ever praise you
Oh God, You are my God and I will ever praise you And I will seek You in the morning and I will learn to walk in Your ways And step by step You'll lead me and I will follow You all of my days ![]() Garrett Sheldon, the great-grandson of Charles, wrote, "My great-grandfather grew up on a farm in the mid-1800's. His father was a missionary and a church planter. They read the Bible aloud every day, so that by the time Charles went to school, he had heard the entire Bible read aloud five times! This prepared him to write 'In His Steps' which changed the world with the question, 'What Would Jesus Do?'." The first recorded words that Peter heard directed personally to him from Jesus were "Come, follow me" (Matthew 4:19a). ![]() Many years later when Peter was writing his epistles he again recalled this call to follow and writes, "You should follow in His steps". Following in His steps, we should "walk, even as He walked" (1 John 2:6). Charles Sheldon wanted to attract local college students to God, so he began preaching a series of practical, Sunday evening sermons on how to follow "in His steps" in business, in journalism, in other careers. From the popular series he wrote magazine articles, which in time became the best-selling book "In His Steps". ![]() Today dear friends, let us again hear this call amid the clamor. Hear it simply. Hear it clearly. Hear it personally. "Come, follow me." Let us seek to walk in His steps! Be encouraged today, Stephen & Brooksyne Weber ![]() ![]() Yesterday following a chaplain visit we rode our bikes along the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail and took a side trip to the scenic village of Mount Gretna. We are not seeing much foliage change but expect to make this same ride again in several weeks and see lots of color. ![]() Mount Gretna has a mountain village feel with colorful cottages. Today's
