An ideallic view of the wave upon wave Pacific Ocean "Jesus Is Still The Answer" Message Summary: Jesus is the answer to mankind's problems. Can you imagine if people would really commit themselves to Jesus Christ and live according to His Word and will? Please note: Podcasts will not be prepared while we are away from our home "studio". Also since we are at a different time zone three hours earlier and working on only one computer the mesage deliver may vary. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15). We are in San Diego California visiting with a friend who is ill. Ester is experiencing California for the first time so she is very excited and we look forward to seeing some of the area sights and just enjoying our Pacific Ocean view. Yesterday we attended Shadow Mountain Community Church near San Diego where David Jeremiah is the pastor. For many years we have enjoyed his teaching ministry on WDAC, our local Christain Radio station in Lancaster. He preached yesterday and, as I closed my eyes, I felt like I was listening to the radio. Actually in several weeks this message will probably be on the radio! The music was astounding with a 200 voice choir and a guest worship leader from Texas. They introduced a medley of Andraé Crouch songs that really blessed us and we thought this week while we are traveling we will develop a series of messages on Crouch's songs that have blessed us through the years. We first heard him and his group, "Andraé Crouch and the Disciples", before we even met during our high school years and then later together in college at a concert in Springfield. There have been specific times when a particular song especially spoke to our hearts and our particular situation. We also used one of his songs in our wedding service. This week we will make a series using songs he wrote as a basis of our teaching. Today let us consider a simple song we heard the choir sing yesterday which has a message so needed in our time, and any time for that matter. Years ago I was visiting a company when a man invited me into his office and asked me to have a seat. I could tell there was something on his heart. He began our conversation by saying, "Now I may not be the smartest man but I'm not the dumbest either." (That would be a truism for all of us!) He went on to tell me that he had seen a sign that stated, "Jesus Is The Answer" and admitted that he had no idea what that meant. "The answer to what?" he asked. Now that is an interesting segue to a witness. I explained what I thought the sign was seeking to communicate; that Jesus is the answer to mankind's problems. Can you imagine if people would really commit themselves to Jesus Christ and live according to His Word and will? That would be the answer to this world's problems as well as the answer to scores of individual problems we all face. Since God created us, He knows what's best for us, and His purpose is made known for us throughout the Scriptures. That's been the message of our ministry since we married in 1976. We want to share the call of our Lord Jesus to this fallen world: "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Jesus is calling us to come unto Him. He is the true and only source of rest, of peace, of love and of acceptance. He loves you this day and every day. However you're seeking to fill a void in your life, turn to Him. He continues to beckon the human race, "Come unto Me." Jesus ever remains the Answer! Jesus is the answer, for the world today.
Above Him there's no other, Jesus is the way. Jesus is the answer, for the world today. Above Him there's no other, Jesus is the way. If you have some questions, in the corners of your mind. Traces of discouragement, and peace you cannot find. Reflections of your past, seem to face you ev'ryday. But this one thing I do know, Jesus is the way. Be encouraged today, Stephen & Brooksyne Weber Daily prayer: Father, You provide the answers to life's questions about those things that trouble us. Of greatest importance You provide the answer to life's greatest question, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" You sent Your Son to be our Savior who would die for our sins so that we might be forgiven and receive an abundant life here on earth and an eternal life in heaven. We are learning to trust in You with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. We want to acknowledge You in all areas of our life so that we will seek You above all, and the counsel provided in Your Holy Word, for the answers to life's questions. Jesus truly is the answer for the world today, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Amen. Some photos from our trip: Brooksyne is enjoying her time at the Steinway. With the house being so open music fills the space. With the soft and beautiful tones of the Steinway, we are all enjoying the music. And, yes, as you might have already observed sitting opposite the brown Steinway is a black Steinway which was moved from a previous location. Perhaps we can find another pianist and they can perform a piano duet. Right across the street we're enjoying invigorating walks on the cliffs that tower over the Pacific, though we have to watch our steps carefully, as the edges can slip up on you. We hear stories of those so fascinated with taking their selfies that they have taken unexpected plunges. Some of the cliffs have eroded and areas are caged off. I captured this shot as Ester was taking some photos of the splashing waves as Brooksyne was observing them. Ester has long wanted to see the Pacific and got her wish this week. Never having visited the West Coast in the fall we are observing that mums and fall decor is popular here just as it is on the East Coast. Chateau Beau Soleil on Sunset Cliffs Look closely and you'll see Ester in her Boston Red Sox shirt waving. Our host created this most spectacular home which is located right across the street from the Pacific. In fact we're listening to and watching the tides while preparing this message. Just about every room provides a close-up view of the mighty Pacific! Most all of our regular readers know we love the rural farm life and feature it often. This was the scene up our road as we lft on Saturday morning. The road here in front of our house is a stark contrast to our present dwelling in San Diego. God has such a variety of beauty in His creative wonders. want to thank all who financially support our ministry. We realize there are many fine
ministries
and causes requesting support but if the Lord would lead
you we surely need and appreciate the financial support from our
readers and listeners. Our ministry labor is comprised of half our
time to Daily
Encouragement and the other half to our chaplaincy ministry to
companies for which we receive a fee (of course this percentage of time
varies
week by week). Each of these ministries essentially is the same as a
part-time job (20+ hours weekly) for each of us. Our goal for many
years is that each phase would provide half of our ministry expenses
and
income. If you would like to make a donation to our ministry see here
for more information. Donations through my chaplaincy endorsing ministry are tax deductible and will
be receipted directly by them. Thank you!
