Ministry Cards
The power of encouragement is so enhanced by a card with an appropriate Scripture and thoughtful saying. The following are ready made templates to print messages on business card stock. These cards are uploaded using a .doc file and should print directly on standard business card stock.
This is a very practical ministry idea that I believe could work for any that desire to make an impact for Christ. This idea will work for many ministry and witness applications.
Essentially I make up small business card size "ministry cards", which are very inexpensive and can pack quite a thought-provoking message. I have distributed thousands of them and many seem to appreciate them and look forward to getting them. I also use them to reinforce my message when I preach and to give the congregation a lasting reminder of the heart of the message.
Business card stock is available at most office supply stores. At this time the best source I have found is from SAM’s Club at about $5.50 per box of 1,000 cards. With the ink you can make the cards for around a penny apiece. Tracts are great but they’re about 10-15 cents apiece from most sources. Plus, a lot of people just won’t read an entire tract. The intent of the ministry card is to give the recipient something to briefly read and think about. They just might get placed in a desk, wallet or purse and the Lord only knows the seed you are planting.
To print out just download and follow the directions on the card stock package. A color printer is great but not necessary. Of course the more color and ink the more it costs! Use creativity in formatting. You can even print material on both sides if you desire. (merely run through the printer again after they dry before ripping them apart!!!) You can probably go as small as 8 pt type if needed to get the message to fit but I usually try to keep it at 10 pt.
I also put the address to Daily Encouragement Net www.dailyencouragement.net on each card. That way people can look for more info. A more detailed approach is to have a special article on the web which the message and specific URL leads to.

This material is designed to print out on standard business card stock available at office supply stores. Assuming you have a good printer and quality card-stock type paper these should print out exactly as they do for me. You can adjust your print settings to use less ink if you desire (draft mode).
