Daily Encouragement Net Readers

Over the nearly ten years these messages have been written we have received thousands of comments from readers (normally several each day).

Here are some that have especially blessed Brooksyne and me. If known we share where the reader lives. We remove the name or any specifically identifying information.

I thank you for your daily encouragement that I expect every day and that gives me strength. The first thing I do every morning is open my email, read your message and contemplate on it before I start my work and daily routine. Lebanon

The enemy is working double time in this place. Every now and then they're conducting raids on houses and camps even at dawn. Our underground church was ransacked and they're taking everything. But this doesn't move us to surrender. Again we regroup into small groups and the good thing is we become so close to each other. Closed Middle Eastern Country

Thanks for your wonderful devotionals. They are a great source of reflection on the Word of God for me and often they encourage me, explain things or just make me smile. Thank you so much! Tunisia

To the staff of daily encouragement thank you so much for such an untiring effort in sending articles that really reflect each ones lives. I am a Filipino working here in Saudi Arabia and I hunger for this kind of reading materials that really nurtures me spiritually. I pass it on to my Indian friends and some Filipinos as well and it really works changing their outlook in life. It inspires and encourages a lot of people in different nations. More power to you all. We salute you. God bless you.....your articles are now roaming around in this very strict country as far as religion is concerned. Closed Middle Eastern Country

You can never know how much I needed to hear that just now.

Just to encourage you I thought I would let you know how much I enjoy your daily encouragement. A friend sent one on to me and that it how I joined your list. I have been bedridden for the last 16 months with a severe illness. My 63 year old mother cares for me and we do not know at this point if I will ever be able-bodied again or not. Since I cannot get to church I am always looking for Christian programming, literature etc. to keep myself growing spiritually and to keep myself encouraged....and that is where you come in. Thank you so much for the blessing that you are to so many!!!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate you Daily Encouragement. When I turn on my computer every morning your devotion is there to encourage me. Missouri

I must tell you how comforting your Daily Encouragements have been to me recently.  A friend of mine told me about your devotionals about a year ago and I have been receiving them since.  Just recently we lost 2 young friends to cancer, one 11 years old and one 15 years old.  On the day we lost dear Rachel (the 11 yr old), I checked my e-mail and there was your devotional titled "Hope Does Not Disappoint" - how relevant that was and comforting on that particular day!!!  God knew exactly what I needed that day and through you, He comforted me. I look forward each day to the Daily Encouragements and am blessed by them.

Thank you for the daily messages of encouragement. Brazil

Thanks for encouraging our praise and prayer group...as we, on the peaceful NH seacoast, continue to pray, daily, for different countries listed by OPEN DOORS as "most persecuted." How easily we claim I Samuel 2:9. It must take on a whole new look when one has just been beaten for his faith...or seen his family threatened.  Press on with your work....  New Hampshire

Thank you for reminding us of the promises of God. Thank you for encouraging us, for understanding us and for thinking about us.   Although I live thousands of kilometres away, in Australia, I feel so close to you both through your testimonies and ministry. Thank you so much for your obedience to God and the ministry that you have provided. I pray that you can continue in the awesome work that you do and that you receive as many blessings as I have through it. Australia

Dear Brother in Christ. Greetings in the name of the Living God. Thanks for the needful email and I am always awaiting for your wonderful, encouraging words. Saudi Arabia

I really look forward to my visit with you and your family each day.  Thank you!  I pray blessing on you as you minister God's Word and the reality of it in your lives. Pennsylvania

I have been a subscriber to your daily encouragement for a year now. As a new Christian it is essential to start my day with your words of wisdom and how I look forward to Brooksyne's word of faith. You always inspire me and lead me to do the right things concerning our Lord. Thank you for being there with me in my walk with the lord. Bless you both. New Hampshire

I've wanted to contact you many times to let you know how much I have enjoyed being on the receiving end of so many wonderful messages.  My husband and I are full-time prison ministers in many of the Texas state prisons and a local jail.  He is a certified volunteer prison chaplain for the state in his 15th year of prison ministry.  I often incorporate your Daily Encouragements into messages. Texas

I am so tremendously blessed by your Daily Encouragement.  Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry, but I am never unaffected.  It is a wonderful respite, and wonderful encouragement in the midst of my busy, hectic workday. Ohio

I enjoy your devotionals very much. I've shared many with my various Christian co-workers some of whom are now subscribers as well. Canada

Thank you so much for your encouragement. I look forward every morning to seeing it first. I especially enjoy Brooksyne's comments. What a blessing you are, not only to each other, but that you share your lives with us, your eternal family in Christ. California

I enjoy your daily encouragement. I pray for His Divine Grace not to cease in your life. Regards to all the family of Christ over there. Nigeria

I have been receiving your Daily Encouragement for a long time now and am totally blessed, fed and encouraged by it daily.

My dear Brother - The past couple of months my wife and I have been going through some of the most difficult times in the ministry resulting in a resignation from our church. I want you to know that of late your daily devotional has been a real breath of fresh air and much appreciated.

Thanks for your fruitful labor for the LORD all these years. GOD bless you, your family & ministry forevermore. Singapore

Each day there is something in your message that touches a place in my life, but today's message is especially pertinent. Massachusetts

Thank you for your efforts in maintaining this list. England

Praise the Almighty God for these wonderful messages and the photographs. God bless you and continue to use you to reach His people far and wide. Kenya

I have been reading the Daily Encouragement for over a year. I can't express to you in words as to how much your mail ministers to me.  I am a senior pastor having a church with about 1700 and about 60 branch churches all over the state (Tamil Nadu, Inda).  The first thing I do, after my private devotion, is to read the Daily Encouragement.  That is what it is. With so much going on in here, your devotional is like a tonic everyday.  I have recommended this to many and most of them are subscribers to Daily encouragement. Your wife's thoughts and pictures add icing to the cake.  Thanks for this ministry.  Please remember us in your prayers.  In His Grace. India

Your messages are an encouragement to us here in Saudi Arabia and we are forwarding your message to as many people as we can in the kingdom.  You may not know all of them who follow your articles secretly and do not send you mails due to constraints.  But I tell you you're a part of our Christian growth and nurturing us daily in the word of God. Be always encouraged to send us this article in spite of any obstacles that may come your way.  God is always able to lift you up for you are not doing it for your own but to His glory. We treasure everything that comes from you and your wife...your labor in the Lord will not be in vain...thanks.

Today's message sure hits the spot. Indeed we all are going through different things but I did need to be reminded how His mercies abound and of the challenge in His Word. I have been encouraged. Thank you.

I am currently not earning as I used to and I was looking for jobs on the net. One night I got so depressed I just typed 'encouragement' on the 'search' box and pressed Enter. I pray that even though I may not be able to support your ministry right now Pastor, the Lord in His richness bless you enough to continue. Thank you again.

You and Brooksyne are a tremendous blessing to me with you daily email. It certainly is a true blessing to me as I know so many more across this country and overseas. Pennsylvania

I have been receiving your daily messages via e-mail for some months now and frequently find them to be a blessing in my life.  Today's devotional touches my heart especially.

You are touching so many lives by the wonderful message you send each day! The prayers that we offer up each day always include you and your beautiful family, and now your extended family. Thank you for taking us on a closer walk. We love you too! :) an encouraged one of many!

Just a  note to say thank you for your ministry around the world.  I look forward each day to reading your devotion & Brooksyne's note too.  Thank you too for the photos.  I feel like I know you and that makes it easier to pray for you all. Recently in a staff devotion I spoke of your ministry to the teachers at the school where I work and I tried to explain to them how I've come to know you as a family over the time I've been receiving your daily encouragement emails.   A very big thank you from sunny Western Australia.

God bless you !!! You have no idea how much God encouraged me through your e-mails, since I subscribed. My name is ***, I am 28, married to a
wonderful Christian  husband, and we have a 1 year old little girl. We live in Romania. Today's message touched me more than ever, because as you, I am running this race, but unfortunately I have to go through some very tough times. God bless you and we pray  for  you and your family and the work you do for Christ. Maybe in heaven Jesus willl introduce us. See you there. (Sorry for my spelling mistakes. English is a second language for me.)

To send a comment to this ministry please see our comment page. All identifying information is optional, however if you expect a response I need your email address of course!

I sure appreciate the input and read each comment and am so often encouraged. However due to the volume of email I receive I am not necessarily able to reply personally to each one. I regret this since often readers will share a particular need or have a specific question. I certainly do pray when I receive a prayer request and often my wife Brooksyne joins me.

Some may be disappointed or even offended that I do not respond personally to their email message to me. I also regret that I can’t keep the “personal touch” in this regard, but I get a lot of emails and must prioritize how I handle responding to these emails. I also have a lot of other responsibilities apart from dealing with email!

1)  I get a lot of email that needs attention in regard to my work as a chaplain (my vocational “income–producing” job).

2) I certainly try to respond to people with whom I have a personal relationship such as family and friends.

3)  I get many comments in regard to the daily encouragements I write, mostly from readers I’ve never met. Increasingly I am unable to reply to most of them due to time constraints. I read each comment and really appreciate the interest and encouragement. These reader comments come under a variety of categories.

  • Many just express appreciation on how an encouragement ministered to them and that’s great!
  • Others share a need for prayer and I will lift up the need to our Father and Brooksyne will often join me.
  • Others have questions about what I believe on particular issues. I am just unable to dialogue on these matters. I state clearly what I believe in regard to foundational doctrines on the info page. Regular readers will also over time get a sense of what I believe on secondary issues as well. However I don’t care or have time to get into the many theological squabbles over differences that earnest Christians have. I suggest you see your own pastor or other local believer regarding these questions. Also at times I sense some merely want to see if I agree with their view on a particular subject!
  • A few are upset about something I’ve written. Although I don’t try to purposefully offend, nevertheless some are inevitably offended. If you do not find my writings encouraging and uplifting easy “unsubscribe” directions are included with each email post.
  • Some have questions about technical issues and seek advice getting into web and email ministry. For a start see this page. There are many excellent resources for this and I encourage you to seek them out and use the web and email to share ministry.
  • I regularly get requests that I place a link on the Daily Encouragement site to other ministries or sites. I have decided not to do this as there would be so many links if I honored all requests that it would be time-consuming and practically meaningless due to the length of the list. If I was selective then I would offend those I didn’t include! There are already many excellent directories of Christian ministries and resources on the web.

 Thanks again for your comments.
